Live Like I’m Rich

6sEOnyKVJPCfbTgRDoXzkw

[Verse 1]
My friends all say that I'm delusional
Living like a famous face in hollywood
I drive my beat up ford down Sunset strip
Waving at the little people 'cause I'm hip

[Chorus]
Gonna Live Like I'm Rich
Even if it ain't true
Gonna Live Like I'm Rich
Be a really cool person just like you

[Verse 2]
I was born to be a king can ya tell
Even if my life sucks and everything's gone to hell
Got a two bit apartment miles from Beverly Hills
I'm wearing yesterday's fashions but my looks can kill

[Chorus]
Gonna Live Like I'm Rich
Even if it ain't true
Even if it ain't true

[Chorus]
Gonna Live Like I'm Rich
Even if it ain't true
Gonna be somebody
A really cool person just like you
Gonna Live Like I'm Rich
Even if it ain't true
Gonna Live Like I'm Rich
A really cool person just like you
Just like you

Trivia:

Once upon a time. In a land not so far away. There lived a musician who was hired to sing a song written by a colleague. The writers already knew the song would appear in a movie titled "Material Girls." Factually speaking "Live Like I'm Rich" was written specifically for that movie by John Henry and Wes Boatman. John called me up and asked if I would sing it. Hopefully you already know my response as I'm credited with it at this point - so that answer obviously was yes. Once it came out in theaters I was surprised at the number of teen and pre-teen girls that were hunting me down on Myspace because of this song. These are the official lyrics as I sang them in the song and in the movie. Enjoy!
