Delicate Stretch of the Seems was Jody Whitesides’ first full album of recorded material, originally released in 1997. Twenty-eight years later, it has been returned to the original multitracks and rebuilt as a new stereo mix and master and from that foundation, delivered in Dolby Atmos. The result is not a repackaging. It is the record heard with better clarity throughout, stronger balance across the mix, more weight to the bass and drums, a redefined low end, and audio cleanup the technology of the original era could not deliver, now placed in three-dimensional space.
Fifteen songs spanning hard rock, metal, and rock. The material moves through societal friction, personal struggle, and internal reckoning. It is the kind of record that only gets made once, at the beginning, when there is nothing to protect and everything to say. In Atmos, the space around it opens up in ways the original release never had access to.
Blue Label
This is a hand-burned BD-R. The disc carries a light blue label with black printing. There is no mass production here, no pressing plant, no label pipeline. Each disc is burned individually and signed before it ships. The format is intentional, direct from the person who made the record to the person who wants to own it, with nothing in between.
