I want to thank everyone that entered to name my Fan Club. I got some really fun ones, some really strange ones, and some that made me think whaaa? Either way, I’m spending a little time rambling about it as I really wanted to dig in and give you, the fan, a chance to make a difference. I really love the fact that you put in time and effort to come up with what you did. It’s really a heartwarming thing. It truly is! I think without further ado I need to say: And the winner is…
“Unity 42”
Submitted by Tom B. Patter.
The reason behind it was two fold. First was the word Unity – the concept of uniting people thrills me. Not only because it’s uniting the idea of the fan club, but also uniting people behind my music. The number 42 represents a play on the book Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy. Wherein if you’re familiar with the story… 42 is the answer to life, the universe and everything. Thus uniting music with life, the universe and everything, well that really worked for me.
So congrats to Tom B. Patter for the winning submission. You rock my world and you’ll be getting all my released music to boot.
Here’s the runner ups:
Division 83 – Monty Wilson
J-Sides – Jeff Peterson
The Unexpected’s – Stacee Schmidt-Cottrell
They each receive a song of their choice. As well. Thanks yet again to everyone that participated, you’re all winners for putting forth the effort! For those sittin on sidelines waitin to see what would happen, I hope you’ll put your party hat on next time!

It’s that time of year when the lovebirds are out and people start sending little Valentines to the ones who have their heart. What’s better than knowing you’re giving of yourself and letting someone else know how you feel about them? Not much. Except maybe for winning the lottery. In this case I have an offer for you and it’s all in the the name of love. Aw.
Right now when you click on this music player below, you get a chance to be serenaded by me for my song “Falling In”. In the immortal words of other people:

“You’re a victim of your own coolness with ‘Falling In’.” – M.B.
“The coolest love song ever that doesn’t flat out say the word love.” – G.L.III
Here’s the even better part to this deal. Right now, for a very a limited time, when you “Share” this song via the player. You can get this song for free! That’s right, you read that correctly. I will give you the song for free. All you need to do is click on the download button and “Share” it. You’ll be taken on a magical internet ride to a special place to get “Falling In” for free. All in the name of love.
Hurry though, because this offer ends when Valentines Day ends.

Aw, I’m getting a little choked up. I’m getting featured on Taylor Guitar’s website. This is actually pretty cool. I was asked by Taylor Guitars if I would do a little clip about how I got a particular guitar sound for the trailer Goats. Well, here it is in all it’s glory.
The bonus is, I’ve been asked to do more of them. So stay tuned. As I complete projects that utilize my favorite acoustic guitars (Taylor Guitars ahem hem). Then there will be more of them.
Enjoy
p.s. – There’ll likely be an update before long when Dean Markley also ends up posting this.
To all my lovely Unity 42 friends, I’m now appearing on Utah Musicians Radio. Little known fact is that I grew up in Utah (no, I’m not mormon). It’s an online radio station that features what else but music from people who create it and are in Utah. As I’m on a break, creating new music (in Utah), it’s only fitting that I’m pushing a little bit of the airwaves too.

The song Hero Unexpected has gone into rotation on their site / stream. Take a moment and listen to them wherever you are.
There’s going to be a bit of a surprise about this station soon as well. I’ll keep you wondering what that is for now.
Go forth and enjoy the music!
